The Ultimate Luxury is Peace of Mind
In the realm of high-end experiential travel, true luxury is not just about opulent amenities or exquisite service; it is the absolute assurance of safety and security. At Private Komodo Yacht, your well-being is our foremost priority. We operate with a multi-layered safety and compliance framework that meets and exceeds both Indonesian maritime law and international best practices. Our parent company, Juara Holding Group, instills a corporate culture of meticulous risk management, ensuring that every aspect of your journey is underpinned by uncompromising safety standards. This page provides a transparent overview of our licenses, certifications, and operational protocols.
Corporate & Legal Compliance
We operate as a fully transparent and legally compliant entity within Indonesia, providing a secure and reliable framework for our clients.
- Company Registration & Licensing: Private Komodo Yacht is a registered brand under PT Juara Pariwisata Gemilang, a subsidiary of Juara Holding Group. We hold a valid Tourism Business License (Surat Izin Usaha Pariwisata – SIUP) issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf).
- Tax Compliance: We are a registered Indonesian taxpayer with a valid Taxpayer Identification Number (Nomor Pokok Wajib Pajak – NPWP), fulfilling all corporate tax obligations.
- Employee Welfare: We are fully compliant with Indonesian labor laws. All our employees, both office-based and vessel crew, are registered for and covered by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (social security, including work accident and life insurance) and BPJS Kesehatan (national health insurance).
Maritime Safety & Vessel Standards
Every private yacht in our curated collection is subject to rigorous safety audits that go beyond basic requirements.
- Vessel Certification: All our vessels are Indonesian-flagged and possess a valid Certificate of Seaworthiness (Surat Kelaiklautan Kapal) and other required documents from the Directorate General of Sea Transportation (Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Laut).
- Port Clearance: Before every single departure, each vessel must obtain a Port Clearance Permit (Surat Persetujuan Berlayar – SPB) from the KSOP (Harbour Master) in Labuan Bajo. This permit is only granted after the KSOP verifies the vessel’s seaworthiness, crew competency, and passenger manifest, ensuring it is safe to sail.
- SOLAS-Grade Equipment: We mandate that all vessels are equipped with safety gear that meets or exceeds Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) standards. This includes self-inflating life rafts, an adequate number of life jackets for all passengers and crew, an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB), satellite telephones, marine VHF radios, and comprehensive fire-fighting systems.
- Crew Certification & Training: Our captains hold, at a minimum, an Ahli Nautika Tingkat (ANT) III license, and our engineers hold an Ahli Teknika Tingkat (ATT) III license. All crew members are certified in Basic Safety Training (BST), which includes first aid, firefighting, and sea survival skills. Regular drills are conducted to ensure readiness.
Operational Protocols & Emergency Preparedness
Our proactive approach to safety management ensures we are prepared for any contingency.
- Emergency Action Plan (EAP): We have a comprehensive EAP that covers all potential scenarios, including medical emergencies, severe weather, and technical malfunctions. This plan includes clear communication protocols and evacuation procedures.
- Medical Support: All vessels are equipped with extensive first-aid kits, including emergency oxygen. Our senior crew are trained in advanced first aid. For serious medical situations, we have a standing agreement with Siloam Hospitals in Labuan Bajo and established protocols for medical evacuation to international-standard facilities in Bali.
- Real-Time Vessel Tracking: Our operations office in Labuan Bajo tracks every vessel in our fleet in real-time via GPS. We maintain scheduled communication check-ins with our captains throughout the day via satellite phone.
- Aviation Coordination: For all arrivals and departures, we coordinate directly with ground handlers and air traffic control (AirNav Indonesia) at Komodo Airport (LBJ) to ensure seamless, safe, and efficient transfers from aircraft to vessel.
Professional Accreditations
Our affiliations with respected industry bodies underscore our commitment to professionalism and quality.
- IATA Accredited Agent: Through Juara Holding Group, our IATA accreditation ensures that all flight booking and ticketing services adhere to the highest global standards of reliability and financial security.
- ASITA Member: Our membership in the Association of the Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies signifies our commitment to the ethical and professional codes of conduct that govern Indonesia’s tourism industry.

Safety & Compliance
The gentle sway of your private Komodo yacht, the vibrant marine life beneath, and the ancient dragons ashore – these are the moments of wonder we promise, underpinned by an invisible yet impenetrable shield of safety.
Advanced maritime safety for an unparalleled Komodo experience
Navigating the pristine, yet sometimes challenging, waters of Komodo National Park requires more than just skilled seamanship; it demands a proactive and technologically advanced approach to safety. Our private Komodo yachts are equipped with state-of-the-art navigation systems, including multiple redundant GPS units, high-definition radar for all-weather visibility, and sophisticated depth sounders to meticulously chart the complex underwater topography. Before every departure, a comprehensive pre-voyage inspection is conducted by our senior officers, ensuring all systems are fully operational and ready for the journey ahead.
Beyond cutting-edge technology, the structural integrity and operational readiness of our fleet are paramount. Each private Komodo yacht undergoes rigorous bi-annual dry-dock inspections, exceeding standard industry requirements, where every component from hull integrity to engine performance is meticulously scrutinized and maintained. This commitment extends to our onboard safety equipment, which includes certified life rafts, individual life jackets for every guest and crew member, emergency beacons (EPIRBs), and comprehensive first-aid facilities, all regularly inspected and serviced to international maritime standards.
Expert crew training and robust emergency preparedness
The human element is central to our safety philosophy. Every crew member aboard our private Komodo yachts is a highly trained professional, holding internationally recognized certifications such as STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers), which mandates rigorous training in emergency procedures, fire fighting, first aid, and survival techniques. Our captains possess extensive local knowledge, cultivated over years of navigating the unique currents and passages of the Komodo archipelago, ensuring a smooth and secure passage.
To maintain peak readiness, our crew participates in compulsory monthly emergency drills covering a wide range of scenarios, from fire suppression and man-overboard recovery to medical emergencies and evacuation protocols. These drills are designed to foster seamless teamwork and rapid response, ensuring that every individual understands their role in safeguarding our guests. Furthermore, our yachts are equipped with advanced communication systems, including satellite phones and multiple VHF radios, providing constant contact with shore support and emergency services, even in the most remote areas of Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site spanning over 1,733 square kilometers of sea and land.
Sustainable operations and guest well-being
Our commitment to safety extends beyond direct operational protocols to encompass environmental stewardship, which is intrinsically linked to the long-term well-being of both our guests and the pristine environment they explore. We strictly adhere to the regulations set forth by Komodo National Park authorities, ensuring responsible mooring practices that protect delicate coral reefs and implementing comprehensive waste management systems. All waste is sorted and stored onboard until it can be properly disposed of in designated facilities ashore, minimizing our ecological footprint and preserving the natural beauty that defines a luxury Komodo yacht experience.
Guest well-being also means anticipating every need, including health and comfort. Our private Komodo yachts are equipped with air-conditioned cabins, fresh water makers, and professional culinary teams trained in hygienic food preparation and storage. For peace of mind, we maintain a comprehensive medical kit on board, and several crew members are certified in advanced first aid and CPR. We believe that true luxury travel is about experiencing the extraordinary without a single concern, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the wonders of Indonesia, knowing every detail of your safety and comfort has been meticulously managed.
